Looking Past the Constants and into the Variables of Mathematics Education

My name is Danette Sigler and I am adjunct mathematics professor at a community college in Maryland. I have been teaching for 7 years. Before I started teaching, I worked in the financial industry. I was a vice president of a bank and also a small business owner. I always had a passion for education. I have taught statistics, algebra, mathematics for teachers, and developmental mathematics courses. I have also had the pleasure of teaching Adult Education mathematics and science classes for GED preparation. This blog is to share some of my obstacles and successes while teaching mathematics.
